Almost 1 million workers in New Jersey labor for the minimum wage of $8.38 an hour, well below what it costs to provide basic support to a single adult. But relief won’t be coming while Chris Christie is still in office.

Bipartisan inaction is preventing New Jersey’s Election Law Enforcement Commission from doing its job.  Both Governor Chris Christie and Senate President Steven Sweeney appear to be dragging their feet. They’re neglecting to appoint enough ELEC commissioners to allow the watchdog agency to act.

All five acknowledged aspirants to the Democratic nomination for Governor of New Jersey took part in last weekend’s Monmouth County Democratic convention.
