Chris Christie vetoed a bill that would raise the minimum wage in New Jersey incrementally to $15/hr over five years.

New Jersey’s representatives in Congress are spending lots of taxpayer money in this election year getting out the word about their pet projects.  And the leader of the pack in the use of the “franking privilege” is Congressman Scott Garrett.

As this New York Times editorial points out, Donald Trump is paving the way to blame his probable loss in November on cheating at the polls. However, his verbal attack on the voting system may be more sinister than that. He may actually be setting up actions at the polls that discourage voter participation.  You can help thwart Donald’s scheme.

In 2005 Donald Trump was on the hook to the State of New Jersey for $30 million in back taxes that his bankrupt companies failed to pay. In 2011, his good friend Chris Christie became Governor.   Within months, Christie’s administration forgave $25 million of the $30 million back taxes that Trump owed to the state.

Bipartisan inaction is preventing New Jersey’s Election Law Enforcement Commission from doing its job.  Both Governor Chris Christie and Senate President Steven Sweeney appear to be dragging their feet. They’re neglecting to appoint enough ELEC commissioners to allow the watchdog agency to act.

Well over 100 Dems took part in Sunday’s Sussex/Warren Democratic picnic at Sand Bar Park in Hackettstown.  Jersey City Mayor Steve Fulop also took part in the event.
