    In 2005 Donald Trump was on the hook to the State of New Jersey for $30 million in back taxes that his bankrupt companies failed to pay. In 2011, his good friend Chris Christie became Governor.   Within months, Christie’s administration forgave $25 million of the $30 million back taxes that Trump owed to the state.
